I’m a girly girl at heart. I have never been the type to order dark liquor.  But as of lately, I have been putting my bartending skills to the test and been experimenting with different alcohol and liqueur. An old fashion is one of America’s most aged cocktails. I’m using Jim Bean’s it balances the bitterness and sweetness of an old fashion.  I had leftover Blood orange and rosemary, and I thought what would be better to mix these two into a fabulous drink. So here you have it Blood Orange Rosemary Old fashion.

2 oz bourbon

3 dashes of angostura bitters

Juice of one blood orange or use Blood Orange Juice

blood orange wedge

1 sugar Cube

1/2 Cup of water

3 sprigs fresh rosemary

1 sphere ice cube

Directions:

In a small saucepan combine water and sugar. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Add two sprigs of rosemary and steep for 10 minutes. Place to the side. Juice orange. In a small glass, place ice cube.
