Garlic Habanero Shrimp

Updated: Apr 5

Seafood is one of those delicacies that almost everyone loves, except those allergic to shellfish. I can't get enough seafood and always look for new and exciting ways to prepare it. One recipe that has caught my attention recently is the garlic-habanero shrimp. It's a simple yet delicious one-pot dish that will leave your taste buds craving more.

The best part is that it's a no-mess recipe and a twist on the classic tapa. You can serve it with bread for dipping or as a main course for a fancy dinner. To complement the dish, I prefer to add some green vegetables. It's also an excellent appetizer if you're hosting a party. I especially like making it during the summer when the weather is hot. This garlic-habanero shrimp should be at the top if you want a quick, easy, and low-maintenance meal. The dish can be prepared in under 10 minutes, and below are all the ingredients you need to make this spicy shrimp dish.

Ingredients:

Four tablespoons of olive oil

1/2 Tablespoon Minced Garlic or three cloves garlic, finely chopped

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1 Packet Sazon Goya Optional ( beef Bouillon)

1/2 Lemon

3 Habanero pepper, whole, you can use less if you don’t want it to be spicy

1-pound large shrimp, cleaned, peeled, tails on (you could leave the shells on if you prefer)

Directions:

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat; add your garlic and 3 Habanero cook for 2-3 minutes.

2. Now add your Shrimp, and make sure they are adequately cleaned. You want to cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side

3. When you are about to take your shrimp out of the skillet, you want to season it with salt and pepper and add one packet of Sazon for the bright orange color and the unique taste. Make sure you don't overcook the shrimp
